Relay For Life Manhattan

from Michelle Israel I never met Isadora, but I felt like I knew her because my friend Allie Lieber ALWAYS spoke (and still speaks!) about her. Over the past 10+ years, I've heard wonderful stories about a beautiful person and friendship, ...and have been truly touched by all of the love that Isadora continues to spread. At Manhattan's Relay For Life last weekend, I dedicated a Luminaria to her. As I walked around the track, a friend who I've known for a few years saw it and said, "I can't believe someone else here knows Dora - what a small world." I turned to my friend and said, "I actually bought that Luminaria - how do you know her?" Turns out my friend went to preschool and dance classes with her. We stopped walking and talked about Isadora for a while - crazy how she helped two good friends became closer without ever having met one of them. It was a beautiful moment that I'll never forget - all because of a beautiful girl with a beautiful, ever-lasting spirit.
